Indication sizing, porosity and the rule check

Size indications with one click, work out projected porosity over a reference area, and check against limits you enter.

Size an indication

  1. Open Measure and the Indications tab.
  2. Choose Size indication (click) and click on the indication. Clearshot grows a region from the click and outlines it.
  3. Read its length, width, area, equivalent diameter and contrast.
  4. If the outline is not right, adjust the threshold and polarity and click again, or Re-run with the current threshold.

Projected porosity

Draw a Reference area box. Clearshot reports projected porosity as a percentage of that area, from the indications inside it.

Advisory rule check

Under Acceptance limits (advisory), enter a name and source (for example "Level 2" and "ISO 10675-1"), the thickness t (blank uses the wall measurement) and any of these limits: max single length, max single width, max pore Ø (mm or × t), max porosity %, max number, max accumulated length.

The check shows within or exceeds, line by line, and lists anything it still needs. It advises only. Your Level 2 or 3 decides. Clearshot does not contain acceptance standards; you enter the limits from the code you work to.
