Photo overlay

Lay the radiograph over a photo of the actual part using matching points, so the repair team can see where to look.

  1. In the viewer, choose the camera icon (Photo overlay).
  2. Choose Upload a photo of the part.
  3. Tap the same feature on the photo, then on the radiograph: weld ends, holes, markers, edges. 3 pairs gives a flat fit; 4 or more gives perspective. Undo removes the last point.
  4. Adjust Opacity, show Only high values or Only low values with a Threshold, and pick a Colour scale. With a thickness calibration, you can colour by thickness / wall loss and Hide open beam / outside calibration so empty areas are not coloured as "thin".
  5. Fine adjust with shift, scale and rotate if needed.
  6. Choose Save overlay (PNG + PDF). Saved overlays are listed when you open the overlay again, to open as PNG or PDF.

Annotations and sized indications are carried across onto the photo.

The overlay shows where things are on the part. Sizes come from the radiograph measurements. The original radiograph and photo are never changed. Staff create overlays; anyone who can see the image, including clients on a share link, can open saved ones.
